Im old and Im not against sprinting per se, but I worry about injury in a higher stress activity. I have been using rucking and hill climbs a lot more than sprinting and I think I have a comparable result. I use strides during my long runs and try to keep my heart rate from spiking too high. Luke Trehan a sevens rugby guy has a nice strides and bronco workout ytube I like.

Can you do a video on the second pull of the clean? My brush point is always too low (above the knee/lower quad). Do you think about bumping the weight up from the hips or do you think about shrugging it? Thank you!

What are your thoughts on dynamic trunk control? Dane from Garagestrength often mentions it as a positive result of certain exercises, and claims it is important for sports, especially for football. Im curious what you think of it

I'm not sure playing your sport will provide the armour building stimulus that is needed. Look at the number of non-contact tissue injuries that occur in hockey and american football. What is this a result of? Is it Poor training mixed with the demands of sport? I'm genuinely curious of your thoughts here. It seems if the sport was providing the adequate stimulus and adaptation that was needed, injuries would be much lower than they are.

These are very reasonable numbers. Though, for athletes, it is sport specific. I know you said for gym culture bros, which I agree, these are all very achievable

I did a block of strength endurance in my training for an 100k with 5000m elevation. It was mostly geard towards going up the steep uphills. I had some trouble on race day, having eaten something bad for me the day before. But that just gave even more contrast to the difference between the uphills, and the downhills and flats for which I didn't do the strength training. I could not even walk the downhills, baerly managed on the flats, but even enjoyed the steep uphills. It was such a big contrast.

Will, how does a volleyball program looks like for college players? i imagine all the jumping is with a two step approach, do you still follow the concept of just lifting heavy in compound movements and doing olympic lifts or you do something more complex for this sport? love the videos

I feel like I don't have a point of contact when I go higher and can't thrust the bar with my hips. Maybe I just have to think of shrugging it? Appreciate any advice. thank you!
